Your CV or Resume serves one very important purpose and that is to achieve an interview. The direction that interview takes you could be life changing. It is therefore, more important than any other aspect of your search when submitted to a client.
What causes that person to decide to interview you will be based on the content and in addition, where possible, our interview notes and discussions we have with the client. The most important is your document.
There are some simple basics: make sure your address and contact details are complete. Check the spelling and grammar, we certainly will. Ask someone else to proof read and critique what you have written. Write more than you intended and provide reasons to be questioned further about your achievements. Remember the client will only interview a few candidates for any role and has time to read and consider your suitability carefully before granting that important interview.
